in Gloucestershire.

Cheltenham


Leisure @ Cheltenham has swimming pools and also offers a wide range of activities from dance and exercise classes to badminton, squash, gym, health and fitness facilities. Clubs and events are available to all ages and abilities.

Cotswold


Cotswold District Council run leisure centres in Cirencester, Chipping Campden, Bourton, Fairford and Tetbury offering a range of facilities and activities from swimming and step to aerobics and fitness, plus classes aimed at different age groups (e.g. teenage classes).

Forest of Dean


The Forest of Dean has a number of leisure centres available with pools, courts, gyms and a wide range of classes. These centres are:

Gloucester


Within easy walking distance of the centre of Gloucester, the GL1 Leisure Centre boast three swimming pools (including learner pool) and a wide range of sporting and leisure facilities (squash, tennis and badminton courts, health and fitness studios, gymnasium etc). Stroud

Berkeley Vale Leisure Centre is based at Berkeley Vale Community School and includes indoor and outdoor facilities and classes for badminton, circuits, tennis, dance, football and hockey. For more information, Telephone 01453 754333.

Dursley Pool is based in the centre of Dursley and provides lessons and holiday activities for a range of ages and abilities. Telephone 01453 546441 for more information.

Dursley Sports Centre is in the grounds of Rednock School and includes a fully equipped fitness suite, indoor tennis, football and cricket facilities and outdoor netball, 5-a-side football and tennis courts. Telephone 01453 543832 for more information.

Maidenhill School has a recently built sport and dance centre – Telephone 01453 754338 (daytime) or 824366 (evening) for more information.

Nailsworth Recreation Centre, based at Nailsworth Primary School, offers evening classes in circuits training, yoga and wado-ryu karate. Telephone 01453 754333 (daytime) or 836951 (evening) for more information. 

Stratford Park Leisure Centre sits on the edge of Stroud in the parkland of Stratford Park (complete with lake and wooded walks).  Facilities include swimming pool, squash and badminton courts, dance studio and activity hall, and an all-weather astro turf pitch (full sized football and hockey).  For more information, Telephone 01453 766771 or visit www.leisure-centre.com and use the ‘find a centre’ option for Stroud.

The Thomas Keble Leisure Centre is based at Thomas Keble school in Eastcombe and includes gymnasium, fitness suite, dance studio and badminton and tennis courts.  Evening sessions in circuits training and aerobics are available. Telephone 01453 754333 (daytime) or 01452 770617 (evenings) for more information.

For the more hardy swimmers, Wotton Pool is an outdoor pool open from May to September. Telephone 01453 842626 for more information.

The Wotton-under-Edge Sports Centre based at Katherine Lady Berkeley’s School offers activities such as squash, netball, keep fit, tae kwan do, indoor cricket and football, and hockey. For more information, Telephone 01453 842626.


Tewkesbury


Centrally located in Tewkesbury, Cascades Leisure Centre offers a range of swimming facilities and lessons from Dinky Divers Baby lessons to Senior Citizen Swimming sessions. A Health Suite including gym and sauna are also available.
